Account deletion
The current version does not create a YSFMARK account or a cloud profile. There is no account to close. You can still delete local data or ask us to delete support correspondence.
Delete information on your device
Close the app to end its current in-memory weather session. Revoke location access in device settings if you no longer want to use local weather. Use Clear storage/data or Delete App to remove local application data. These steps do not erase OpenWeather’s request records.
Android: open Settings → Apps → the app → Storage → Clear storage/data. Menu names vary by device. Uninstalling also removes the active local installation; a later restore from a system backup may bring some data back.
iPhone/iPad: use Settings → General → iPhone/iPad Storage → the app → Delete App. Offload App keeps its documents and data. These instructions apply where an iOS version is installed.
Device backups
Your operating system may keep an app backup or transfer app data between devices, depending on its settings. Local deletion does not automatically remove an existing device backup. Manage those copies through your Android/Google or Apple/iCloud backup settings. We do not have access to your personal device backup.
Delete support correspondence
Email ysfmark@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion — Météo App” from the address used to contact us. Tell us which correspondence you want removed. We aim to respond within 30 days and will explain any information we must retain for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute. We request only what is necessary to identify your request; do not send identity documents unless a proportionate verification process is explained to you.
Third-party service data
Revoking location permission stops future device-location access by the app. It does not delete requests OpenWeather already received. Consult OpenWeather’s privacy contact for data it controls.
